Kate Shackleton Biography

Kate Shackleton, Executive Vice President

As Executive Vice President of Trust at LPL, Kate is responsible for the development and delivery of capabilities to support advisors and institutions who serve complex clients with multi-generational wealth management needs. She is the interim President and Chairman of the Board of The Private Trust Company, NA, which acts as the corporate trustee for sixteen hundred families with $2B in assets under management, as well as Fiduciary Trust Company of New Hampshire, which provides custodial services for nearly $2B in retirement assets held in 403(b) plans served by LPL advisors.

Kate joined LPL Financial in 2022 as Head of Corporate Strategy and New Ventures, where she helped to guide the firm’s multi-year approach to growth and innovation.

Prior to joining LPL, Kate was an executive at Wells Fargo, where she held various positions in the wealth management division and office of the COO, including head of strategy for the high net worth client segment. Kate has over twenty years of experience from the largest wealth management firms and private banks globally, including JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley.

Kate earned her bachelor of science in Finance from Miami University.
