Dan Allen, President & Chief Operating Officer

Dan is the President & Chief Operating Officer for The Private Trust Company (PTC). He oversees the end-to-end operational processes for the firm, drives our approach to risk and regulatory matters, and executes on our strategic initiatives, which includes our efforts to further modernize PTC.

Over the course of the last 16 years, Dan has led teams at several large national financial institutions including Wells Fargo, Union Bank, and U.S. Bank. Before moving to wealth management, he practiced estate planning and estate administration law for several years. Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies from Loyola University of Chicago and his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.

He joined PTC in late 2023. Outside of work, Dan lives is southern California and enjoys hiking, playing pickleball and tennis, and spending time with his husband and their corgi.
